Britney Spears is sorry for the things that might have hurt other people in her memoir. She also praised ex Justin Timberlake's new songs.

The pop superstar on Instagram apologized for “some of the things” she wrote in The Woman In Me.

Spears shared a clip of Timberlake performing on The Tonight Show and also wrote, “I wanna apologize for some of the things I wrote about in my book. If I offended any of the people I genuinely care about I am deeply sorry.”

She also reacted to Timberlake's songs Selfish and Sanctified and said she laughs so hard when seeing him and host Jimmy Fallon together.

“I also wanted to say I am in love with Justin Timberlake’s new song ‘Selfish’ It is soo good and how come every time I see Justin and Jimmy together I laugh so hard ??? Ps ‘Sanctified’ is wow too” she said.

This comes after Spears' fans took a savage swipe at Timberlake, who recently released a song with the same title as the former. Spears' Selfish from Femme Fatale made it to the top of the US iTunes charts, surpassing Timberlake's.

It can be remembered that in her memoir, which was released in October 2023, she claimed that she became pregnant with Timberlake's baby while they were dating in their late teens from 1999 to 2002. It, however, resulted in abortion which was recently confirmed by PEOPLE Magazine.

Spears recounted, "It was a surprise, but for me, it wasn’t a tragedy. I loved Justin so much. I always expected us to have a family together one day. This would just be much earlier than I’d anticipate."

“But Justin definitely wasn’t happy about the pregnancy. He said we weren’t ready to have a baby in our lives, that we were way too young," she added, saying the abortion was "of the most agonizing things I have ever experienced in my life."
