Hard launch? Coco Martin and Julia Montes hold hands at the ABS-CBN Ball
Steady your hearts, CoJul fans, Coco Martin and Julia Montes arrived at the ABS-CBN Ball 2023 together holding hands.
The real-life couple walked the red carpet together in black outfits for the first time since they confirmed their relationship.
Julia graced the event in a black off-shoulder organza dress with a thigh-high slit, while the Batang Quiapo actor looked fresh and dapper in a black coat and white dress shirt.
Asked by host Gretchen Fullido how they're feeling, the Daytime Drama Queen said that they are "good and very happy."
"We're good and very happy kasi nagsamasama tayo ngayon and after a long time diba? And bihira mangyari ito. Tama talaga yung tagline, forever grateful," Julia said.
Gretchen followed, "Ito na ba yung main launch? Dati may soft launch. Eto ba yung main launch natin sa red carpet ng ABS-CBN Ball?" The couple just chuckled.
Coco and Julia have long been rumored to be a couple. Last May, Coco admitted on TV Patrol that the two have been dating for 12 years already.
“Napakasarap ng pakiramdam namin dahil 12 years na kaming magkasama, pero pareho pa rin tulad ng dati. Nilo-look forward namin kapag may project na magkasama kami and then kapag may pagkakataon, nakakalabas kami, nakikita kami ng mga tao pero name-maintain namin ang privacy sa buhay namin,” he said.
“Basta kami, hindi naman na kaming mga bata. Kung ano ‘yung nakikita at iniisip ng mga tao, ‘yun na ‘yun. Mas masarap ‘yung pakiramdam na pribado ang buhay namin, tahimik. Walang mga issue. Ito, masaya kami,” he added.
Julia, meanwhile, in August said that she was just "happy" with her life when she was asked about the confirmation of their relationship.
“Nag-announce ba kami? Parang wala naman,” she said before laughing. “Happy lang ako sa life. Siguro masasabi ko lahat ng nangyayari sa buhay ko, never kong ine-expect and never kong ini-imagine na ganun ‘yung mangyayari when it comes to… in general, sa work, sa life, lahat ng mga dini-dreams ko, more than pa sa mga nangyayari. Super thankful and I’m very happy talaga,” she further added.
