Wang So and Hae Soo channeled their love for each other in the modern-day world.

Lee Joon Gi reunited with his Scarlet Heart: Goryeo co-star IU during the Seoul stop of the latter's world tour, H.E.R.

Joon Gi, who played the iconic role of fourth prince Wang So in the drama series, shared some snaps he took with IU, who played the role of Hae Soo as the former attended the highly-anticipated concert.

"I'm grateful to have a colleague who fills me up with inspiration! Please return safely after you deliver happiness," the actor wrote, as per a translation by Korean media outlet, Soompi.

Moreover, Joon Gi also posed with Park Bo Gum, who is also at the concert as IU's surprise guest.

According to K-media outlet, Bo Gum performed Not Spring, Love, or Cherry Blossoms and Let's Go See the Stars

In case you missed it, Bo Gum and IU will team up for a Netflix K-drama series titled When Life Gives You Tangerines.

Based on its synopsis, the upcoming show will follow the story of rebellious Ae-sun (IU), who finds herself in a budding romance with Gwan-sik (Park Bo Gum), a quiet but reliable man who has nothing but "pure love" for Ae-sun. The drama is set in the 1950's in Jeju Island.

Further details, including its release date, are yet to be announced.

Meanwhile, Joon-Gi and IU starred in the hit period drama Scarlet Heart: Goryeo. The series gained popularity after fans hoped for a season 2 following its cliffhanging ending.

However, in 2022, Joon Gi revealed in an interview with the variety show MMTG that an alternate ending was filmed for the period drama, but it was chosen not to be released to viewers. In the supposed ending, Wang So and Hae Soo meet again in the present.

"He approached her in a suit as a stranger and handed her a handkerchief. When she looked at him, he stood there like someone who didn't know about what happened in Goryeo. He just smiled and turned away, then I think Hae Soo called him and he looked back. I think she smiled at him," Jun-ki said, as per a translation by Soompi.

For starters, the series' original ending showed Go Ha-jin (IU) returning to the present after her incarnation, Hae Soo, passed away. Ha-jin soon discovers that her memories as Hae Soo, which she thought were a dream, were real after visiting a museum. She cries over a portrait of fourth prince Wang So (Lee Jun-ki), saying sorry for "leaving you alone."

Scarlet Heart: Goryeo is a remake of the Chinese novel Bu Bu Jing Xin by Tong Hua.

Its star-studded cast includes Kim Ha-neul, Kim San-ho, Hong Jong-hyun, Yoon Sun-woo, Ji Soo, Nam Joo-hyuk, EXO's Baekhyun, and Girls' Generation's Seohyun.
