Head up, K-drama fans, a new series with a star-studded cast is making its way to Netflix soon.
On September 28, the streamer revealed the cast line-up for the new creature thriller series Gyeongseong Creature, directed by Chung Dong Yoon and written by Kang Eun K.
The upcoming Netflix series features some well-known names in the industry, such as Park Seo Jun, Han So Hee, Claudia Kim, Wi Ha-Jun, and more.
The drama, which is set in the city of Gyeongseong (former name of Seoul) in the spring of 1945, recounts the narrative of two young adult characters who battle horrific creatures born of human greed. It was also when the Japanese ruled over Korea, a story about individuals who fought fiercely on the border of life and death in a battle for survival.
The filming started early this year in January, and the series aims to be released in the first half of 2023.
K-drama's heartthrob Park Seo Jun, known for his characters in Hwarang, What's Wrong With Secretary Kim, Itaewon Class, and more, will play the role of Jang Tae Sang, Gyeongseong's finest informant that also comes in a wealthy background.
Korea's rising star Han So Hee rose to stardom when she appeared in the Netflix series The World of the Married, Nevertheless, and My Name, will play Yoo Chae Ok, A well-known bounty hunter who can locate missing persons, even those who have died.
Claudia Kim garnered international attention when she played a role in prominent movies such as Avengers: Age of Ultron and Netflix's Marco Polo. In The series, she plays the character Madea who controls the Gyeongsang area.
Wi Ha Jun, who received a significant amount of interest from the viewers when he first appeared in the hit K-drama show Squid Game, and continued his rise to fame with Little Women, will play Kwon Jun Taek, a close friend of Tae Sang and joins him in rescuing people who went missing in Gyeongsang.
