Liza Soberano is back in the Philippines, and one of the first things she did as soon as she landed was show her support for Enrique Gil by attending the block screening she set up for the latter's comeback movie, I Am Not Big Bird.

In an Instagram post on Tuesday, March 5, the Lisa Frankenstein star shared that she went straight to the theater from the airport just so she could catch the I Am Big Bird block screening.

“Went straight to the theaters from the airport last night to watch I Am Not Big Bird. Congratulations [Enrique Gil]!! The movie had me crying from laughing so much!” she wrote in her IG entry.

Liza watched the film with the Careless team, as seen in an Instagram story she reposted from creative director Kimi Felices, who thanked Liza for setting up the block screening.

Liza wasn’t able to attend the film’s special screening ahead of its release last Valentine’s Day. Enrique previously said that he understood that the actress was busy.

“It’s fine, it’s fine. I’m gonna have another screening with her pagbalik niya,” he told entertainment reporter MJ Felipe. “She’s really busy.”

When asked by the press if he was disappointed by Soberano's absence, he said, "No, no, no. Of course not. I totally understand, don’t worry."

Liza recently made headlines for her outstanding performance in the horror-comedy film Lisa Frankenstein as Taffy. She also made an appearance in the prestigious Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards at the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall in Los Angeles, California, donning a Pamella Roland creation.

She was also among the presenters at the 2024 Anime Awards in Tokyo, Japan.

Liza and Enrique have been embroiled in split rumors since May last year, though they have been repeatedly shutting down the speculations in separate interviews. In February, Gil dismissed the rumors anew, noting they’re both just "super busy."

LizQuen debuted in the teleserye Forevermore in 2014. They have been in a relationship for the past eight years, though they only went public about their status in 2019.
