Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray served as a backstage commentator at the recently concluded 72nd Miss Universe pageant, and she managed to amaze fans not only with her performance but also her captivating looks.

It was Catriona's second time to host the competition along with American actress Zuri Hall and as usual, the Miss Universe 2018 made sure to showcase Filipino talent in her ensembles.

With the help of hair stylist Paul Nebres, makeup artist Jelly Eugenio, and stylist Justine Aliman, Catriona donned two creations by Filipino designers that surely made her look like a candidate again on the international stage.

A Gleaming Queen in Red

Looks like the color red really fits this queen!

For her first look, the 29-year-old beauty queen served El Salvador a one-shoulder asymmetrical gown made with mesh fabric. To create a goddess-like look, Catriona paired the Anthony Ramirez creation with an intricate updo and silver dangling earrings.

A Pristine Queen

Catriona served an ethereal beauty for her second look. She wore a white-off-shoulder gown featuring a bustier top and a flowing skirt designed by Jo Rubio.

During the latter part of the competition, Catriona added some sheer black gloves and gems from Jhaena Jewels, partnered with a spiky bun hairstyle.

In the comment sections of her posts, Catriona was lauded by some pageant fans, fashion enthusiasts, and co-pageant queen for her flawless appearance while highlighting Filipino talent.

"Dyosaaaa," said Miss Grand International 2016 First-runner up, Nicole Cordoves.

"Looks after looks after looks. Queen baka malito judges sainyo ni MMD," a fan noted.

"Queen Cat don’t go loitering on the stage! Baka koronahan ka bigla," a user joked.

Others can't get enough of Catriona's impact on the international stage, calling her "The Supreme Queen."

"And the Miss Universe 2023 is Philippines," a social media user wrote in the comment section.

After the event, Catriona also posted pictures of herself with previous Miss Universe winners, together with the recently crowned Miss Universe 2023 from Nicaragua, Sheynnis Palacios.
