Heart Evangelista receives an early birthday present from Chiz Escudero
Senator Chiz Escudero surprised wife Heart Evangelista with a special present just days before the actress' birthday.
On Instagram, Heart, who is turning 38 on February 14, uploaded photos of a sculpture of her face.
She said that the molding of her face was done 17 years ago for the teleserye Hiram na Mukha, which is about a girl whose face resembles a monkey.
"They took a molding of my face at that time. I was 21 years old… through the years I always wondered where the molding was," she wrote.
Heart mentioned it to her husband three years ago, and as it turns out, he was listening. Chiz was able to locate the original cast and have artist Ferdinand Cacnio commission it.
"Amazing :) the happiest birthday indeed thank you," she added.
In the caption, a follower commended "ahoever did the legwork to locate it." Heart replied saying that the ABS-CBN bosses helped her husband find the mold.
"It was mark Lopez and carlo Katigbak who helped him locate it," she replied.
Meanwhile, the series' director Eric John Salut also greeted the birthday girl.
"Happy Birthday @iamhearte. I directed Hiram na Mukha if you still remember it. Hehehe…we taped in a place which i wont mention kasi baka ma bash me, where it was so dusty and so humid. Hehehe…" he wrote.
Last year, the couple was swept up in separation rumors after the socialite removed the surname Escudero from her Instagram bio. She later admitted she has been dealing with “personal struggles,” but did not expound.
On New Year’s Eve, the couple dispelled the rumors by posting a photo together, noting that she'll see her husband "soon."
