Shawols can relate, Ate Shawie.

Sharon Cuneta was in tears after seeing SHINee’s Key in the flesh at the “Begin Again” K-pop concert on Sunday, May 29, at the Araneta Coliseum.

In a tweet by her daughter Kakie Pangilinan, Sharon was seen shedding fangirl tears while making heart arms during Key’s performance. “Kim Kibum ‘kaw lang ang nagpapaiyak ng mama ko nang ganto,” Kakie said in a follow-up tweet.

Sharon also took to social media to share her favorite “Begin Again” concert memories, expressing her love for SHINee and NCT DREAM.

“Nakakahiya man pero SHINee (this time si Key pa lang) ang nakakapagpaiyak sa akin nang ganito. I was so happy when I got to meet NCT DREAM, but I will cry buckets if all of SHINee comes. And possibly EXO too (especially D.O.). Back to Ilocos tomorrow for work,” Sharon wrote.

The Megastar also shared a snap of her and Kakie holding SHINee- and NCT DREAM-themed lightsticks during the concert.

“Flew home from Ilocos for this! Yes! With my babies,” she wrote.

Sharon also shared a video of herself entering Araneta Coliseum as her fellow K-pop fans cheered her on.

“Upon entering the Coliseum from backstage tonight (Nope - we didn’t see Key or NCT Dream there.) Thank you, fellow K-Pop fans!!! I felt like I was with friends,” she wrote, adding gemstone and green heart emojis.

Sharon has always been vocal about her love for Korean entertainment, particularly her admiration for SHINee. In a vlog uploaded on August 2020, she fangirled over the boy group along with NCT 127 and actor Gong Yoo.

The Megastar opened up about how she discovered and fell in love with SHINee in a November 2020 vlog. She even showed off her albums, posters, photocards, and other merchandise.

“When I first saw SHINee, I was immediately attracted to Kibum (Key). And then when I saw him and their interviews, I figured, ‘God. I could be this guy’s best friend because we have the same sense of humor,” Sharon said.

Kim Kibum, or Key, debuted as the lead rapper and vocalist of SHINee in 2008. He then made his debut as a soloist in November 2018 with his first solo EP Face

Key performed the songs Saturday Night, Helium, This Life, and Bad Love during his set at the Begin Again K-pop concert. He was joined by NCT DREAM. WEi, and ALICE.

The K-pop idol also took fans on a trip down memory lane as he sang SHINee’s classic hits Ring Ding Dong and Replay.
