John Lloyd Cruz pays homage to Roberto Bellini, owner of the restaurant in the iconic 'One More Chance' scene
John Lloyd Cruz commemorated the birthday of his friend Roberto Bellini, the owner of the Italian restaurant, Bellini's.
The actor recently visited the Cubao Expo set where he said the iconic line, "Hindi mo ba alam 'yung three-month rule?!" On Instagram, John Lloyd shared a clip of himself taking photos of Roberto and his family in the restaurant. He simply captioned it "Happy Birthday Roberto!"
He also penned a longer birthday greeting for his friend on his other Instagram account, @dumpsitegallery.
"Di ako huminto sa pagdalaw sa lugar kung saan pinanganak si Popoy," he started, referring to his character in One More Chance.
He said that Roberto had been there for him during those times when he lacked self-confidence. And for that, he thanked Roberto for inspiring him to continue to work.
"Siya lang marahil ang napili kong pakinggan at tunay na nagpaunawa ng halaga ng mayroon kang ginagawa," he continued. "'You have to work John Lloyd,'" he quoted the restaurateur.
"Salamat kaibigan. Salamat Roberto. Maligayang kaarawan sa’yo. Nasa puso kita at isipan," John Lloyd added.
This wasn't the first time the actor showed appreciation for Roberto. In 2018, he shared a selfie with the "only paparazzi I love." Roberto used to be a paparazzi.
