Celebs, beauty queens who dazzled in their stylish outfits in Vogue PH's Anniversary Gala

It’s been a year since Vogue first landed in the Philippines and Filipino celebrities and beauty queens joined the celebration.

On the night of Aug. 29, local stars glimmered in their best interpretation of the theme “Refresh & Rewear” as they walked on the event’s black carpet at Shangri-La The Fort in Taguig City.

From Kylie Verzosa to Bretman Rock, here are some of the head-turners for the evening.

Liza Soberano

Liza Soberano is truly sublime in this “Chrysalis” dress from House of Laurel. The couture piece is poetry in motion as the designer created a sculpture out of metallic silk organdie. Liza’s makeup artist Mickey See made sure to highlight Liza’s natural beauty by keeping a simple dewy look.

Nadine Lustre does not ever disappoint. She rocked a figure-flattering custom Mark Bumgarner dress complemented by an edgy updo and Bulgari accessories. In the black carpet interview, she described her look as “simple, chic and very me.”

Anne Curtis

Anne Curtis pulled off a polished look by wearing a vintage suit from YSL which was kept sexy with its plunging neckline. She paired her look with a sleek updo and smokey makeup that made her look all the more edgy.

Michelle Dee

Looking a bit similar to Anne’s look, Michelle Dee’s plunging-neckline dress was amped up by a thigh-high slit. We particularly love the dainty bow details on the sleeves of the dress, adding playful elements to this fierce ensemble.

Bea Alonzo

Bea Alonzo looked ethereal in white as she showed up in a one-shoulder gown by Toni Maticeviski. A thigh-high slit added more flair to Bea’s angelic look.

Pia Wurtzbach

Pia Wurtzbach slayed the black carpet in a black Bumgarner dress. The Miss Universe 2015 wore a Bulgari Serpenti necklace which added oomph to the V-neckline of the dress. Complementing her gown is Jeremy Jauncey’s Stefano Ricci suit.

Bretman Rock

Bretman Rock proved that he is the "baddest" as he strutted in a piña fabric top from House of Laurel. He took things further with a white graphic eyeliner and finished it off with pearl accessories, keeping the look monochromatic.

Gabbi Garcia

Gabbi Garcia stunned in a see-through archival piece by Vania Romoff.  In her interview, she said her team kept her all-black ensemble classy and sophisticated despite showing a bit of skin.

Kyline Alcantara

Kyline Alcantara arrived at the gala in a black skin-tight gown. The Coperni gown also featured a thigh-high slit, adding to the sexy look. She topped it off with a glittery eye makeup and high ponytail.

Celeste Cortesi

Celeste Cortesi appeared doll-like in a gown by Puey Quiñones. The beauty queen made sure to embrace the “simplicity and allure of sophistication” by keeping her hair in a half updo and a black bow to finish off the look.

Kylie Verzosa

Kylie Verzosa turned heads once again in her black and white gown designed by Mark Bum Garner. The beauty queen and actress opted for a more sophisticated version of her black-and-white crop top gown in last year’s Vogue Philippines Gala.
