Cesar Montano earns a master's degree at 60

Cesar Montano graduated with a Master’s degree in Public Safety Administration from the Philippine Public Safety College on Thursday, July 6.  

The 60-year-old actor shared his achievement through a Facebook post, in which he posted photos from the graduation ceremony.

"Salute to everyone! Congratulations, mates!" he wrote.

He also went live on the social media app during the ceremony, where he proudly showed his "Best in Policy Paper Award." The award said that he won a bronze medal for his paper titled "Arts as Instrument of Drug Rehabilitation: A Policy Recommendation."

Cesar also showed his master's diploma and expressed gratitude to those who greeted him throughout his life.

Fans took to the comments section of his post to send congratulatory messages.

"Congrats idol, bata pa lang ako, idolo na kita," wrote one netizen.

According to a report by PEP, Cesar was a scholar at the said school and started taking his master's degree during the COVID-19 lockdown.

"I want to inspire people by showing them that there is no substitute for education," he told PEP.

The actor earned his bachelor's degree in mass communication from the Lyceum of the Philippines in 2009.
