Prime Video's Marry My Husband has yet to finish but a Japanese remake version is already in talks.

JTBC first reported that "there are plans" to create a Japanese version of the tvN K-drama. Discussions are also already underway for the production.

Studio Dragon, the production company behind Marry My Husband, confirmed the report in a statement.

"The original webtoon is popular in Japan, so we have been discussing turning the original into a Japanese drama even before the Korean version was broadcast, and we are currently discussing the direction of the plan with the Japanese side," it said.

Marry My Husband is based on the popular webtoon of the same name. Premiering in 2024, the drama's ratings have steadily climbed, remaining at the top spot for five consecutive weeks on Good Data Corporation’s weekly list of the TV dramas that generated the most buzz.

It follows Kang Ji-won (Park Min Young) who was granted a second chance at life after being tragically murdered in 2023 by her cheating husband and best friend. She wakes up back in 2013 and must confront the ghosts of her past to be able to rewrite her future.
