WATCH: Maggie Wilson reaches out to son Connor in touching Mother’s Day video
Maggie Wilson touched the hearts of her social media followers with a video dedicated to her son Connor.
The former beauty queen shared a compilation of her son’s video clips in celebration of Mother’s Day, opening up about how difficult it was to put it together as she “needed to take one too many minutes” to stop herself from crying.
In the video, she can be heard reading a heartrending letter to her son. “Hey, little man. It’s been 131 days since we last spoke and 305 since we last saw each other. I’ve tried phoning you and sending you messages countless times. It has been hard on me but I know it’s been harder on you,” she began.
The model admitted that things became “challenging” when she and businessman Victor Consunji separated and that there are times she questions herself if it was “selfish” of her to do so. It was, however, something she had to do because she wanted their son to see them happy, even though they were no longer together.
“I only wanted him to be happy because I couldn’t give him that. I was simply not enough.”
“I remember telling you that you needed to be strong and prepare yourself for the situation that was about to arise. That is so heavy to ask of a child, but I know I’ve been nothing but honest with you,” she stressed.
“Not a minute goes by that I don’t think of you or have the same dreams as you. I send you so much love every night before bed, my bubba. Every day I’m not with you, my heart breaks a little. Every day, I furiously try to hang on to continue the good fight. Every day, I pray for you and your safety,” she said.
In the caption of her post, she called on those who are involved in the matter "to think about an eleven-year-old boy in the middle of all this and do what is right. My son has been put through far too much. I have been blocked."
“I ask that if you see my son, tell him he is loved, and if you can, show him this video. I will be forever grateful if you could find it in your hearts to do so,” she added.
In September 2021, Victor and Maggie announced their separation after 11 years of marriage, calling it a "difficult decision" at the time. Later on, however, they have gone public with their feud and have since been caught up in legal disputes, including an adultery charge.
Just recently, she revealed the reason behind her decision to leave the Philippines. “If you think I left the Philippines without saying goodbye to my son was due to me being charged with adultery, you are very wrong,” she said, pointing out that she has received “numerous death threats.” She added that her family “has also been threatened.”
Maggie is now rumored to be in a relationship with businessman Tim Connor, while Victor has started a romance with entrepreneur Rachel Carrasco.
