Olivia Rodrigo is putting the Philippines on the map with her historic US Vogue cover.

The talented singer and songwriter took to Instagram to share her excitement as the first Filipino-American to grace the cover of the well-respected fashion magazine.

"Wowowow so unbelievably honored to be on the cover of @voguemagazine. Thank you @jiatortellini for such a thoughtful conversation and @theodegueltzl for the beautiful photos. Incredibly appreciative of the entire Vogue team for their passion and kindness," she wrote.

The cover story was written by Filipino author and writer Jia Tolentino, who had the chance to meet with Olivia in New York City.

On Instagram, Jia shared her experience of meeting the singer, writing, "I had the true pleasure of hanging out with @oliviarodrigo on a rainy spring Saturday in the East Village, just before she got the keys to her new apartment, her SATC era, her whole twenties. The new music is ludicrously good, Olivia is impossibly lovely & it's a gift to get to be a [Filipino] writer profiling a [Filipino] superstar for the cover of @voguemagazine (yes we obviously talked about how all Filipinos can SING!!)"

The good 4 u singer also responded to her post, saying, "So happy we could meet and gush over karaoke and halloumi eggs."

The cover story features Olivia discussing her life growing up, how she got into singing, and her future plans.

She also talked about her Filipino roots briefly, chatting with the author about how all Filipinos know how to sing.

"[My dad is] introducing me to all the bands he went to see when he was my age,” Olivia shared and added: "I was always singing. I was always super motivated to do things.”

The cover story also includes photos taken by Théo de Gueltzl.

Olivia recently released her new song, Vampire, on June 30.
