Karen Bordador on receiving hate after Seo In Guk fanmeet hosting gig: 'Karma comes in many forms'
Former Pinoy Big Brother housemate and model Karen Bordador has some words for those who sent her hate comments after she hosted South Korean actor Seo In Guk’s fan meet in Manila.
On X, formerly Twitter, Karen shared a cryptic post about forgiveness, two days after the fan meet.
"Forgive them Lord for they do not know what they’re saying," she wrote.
Then on Tuesday, without explicitly talking about any issue, Karen revealed that she has been "receiving mean and baseless IRRATIONAL hate" she didn’t deserve.
"Now what? So easy to point fingers but naturally no accountability taken. Damage is done! Karma comes in many forms. Hope you learned something. God bless!" she added.
Karen also thanked an X user who complimented her on her hosting skills.
"We had a wonderful time because our host was Karen! We felt that she was a very, very wonderful host. And most importantly, because Karen brought out the best in our beloved SEOINGUK. We hope Karen will be our host again next time. Thank you so much for a wonderful time!" the X user said.
This came after Filipino actress Kristel Fulgar, who is a longtime fan of Seo In Guk, was supposed to host the fan meeting for the South Korean actor last Aug. 12. However, she shocked fans with an announcement an hour before the show that she would no longer be hosting the event due to unforeseen circumstances. Karen then replaced her as the host.
On Tuesday evening, Kristel shared a vlog entry where she talked about the reason why she was replaced, saying her lack of energy during the rehearsals prompted the Korean technical directors to ask her to be replaced.
"Since rehearsal 'yon, hindi ako sanay na ibigay yung 100% energy ko. So kung nakulangan sila sa energy sa rehearsal, sabi ko I would do my best. Nage-expect ako na ipapaakyat ako ulit sa stage para maipakita ko 'yung 100% na sinasabi ko pero hindi raw. ...Kung sinasabi nila na gusto lang namin ng magiging magandang event, hindi man lang ako binigyan ng second chance para mapatunayan ko ang sarili ko," Kristel said.
