Dainty tiny tattoos you'd want to copy from Sofia Andres, Nadine Lustre, and other celebs

You know what they say: less is always more — and by that it means tattoos included.

Minimalist tattoos may be small or barely noticeable, but these masterful pieces of work can speak volumes about your interests, life experiences, and even personal mantra. It’s one of the coolest ways to express yourself without having to say a lot.

It bears noting, though, that tatts are made to stay put on your skin forever. That is why it’s best to weigh up your design options before booking an appointment with an artist. And what better way to get ink-spiration than from your favorite celebrities?

Check out the prettiest minimalist tattoos of stars like Sofia Andres, Nadine Lustre, Anne Curtis, and more that will show you why small is the new big when it comes to getting inked.

Sofia Andres’s little colorful flowers

Sofia Andres just added another dainty ink to her tattoo collection and it’s one to bring you fresh spring vibes.

The ABS-CBN star shared snaps of her new tatt, which comprises a set of colorful flowers and a leaf, in an Instagram Story in April 5. It was created by Cebu-based tattoo artist Jello Talaboc, who also showed his latest masterpiece on Sofia’s inner arm on Instagram.

The design is not the only one worth copping though. Placing colored ink on your inner arm, just like Sofia did, will keep it from fading as it is less exposed to the sun.

Apart from her new spring-themed ink, Sofia also has a small heart outline on her right wrist, her daughter’s name “Zoe” on the side of her left wrist, a rose on her side rib, and the phrase “Vis ta vie” (or “life your life”) on her forearm.

Nadine is a known advocate of self-love and one of the ways she’s keeping her self-esteem in check is by getting tattoos with deep meanings. This includes the phrase “That’s it. It is what it is” written on her legs.

The lowkey tatt, made by 55 Tinta Tattoo Studio, appears to be a reminder for Nadine to accept life as it is.

In Dr. Aivee Teo's vlog last Dec. 4, Nadine revealed that she and her friend both got the tattoo inspired by their memorable trip to La Union. "'That's it' naman is just like to remind us of all the things that we learned on that trip," the actress said.

It is part of the actress’ tattoo collection, which now consists of 13 designs, including a lotus on her forearm, a moon on her left wrist, and a lyric from Up Dharma Down’s “Tadhaa” that is dedicated to her brother who passed away in 2017.

Heart Evangelista’s bright red heart

Heart Evangelista, or Love Marie Ongpauco in real life, is a fan of dainty tattoos, and guess what? Love.

The actress’ first tattoo is a small red heart on her right wrist, which she got in 2019. In September 2021, she was inked with the word “Love” in her husband Chiz Escudero’s handwriting

The latest addition to Heart’s collection, which she got in October of the same year, was a small stemmed daisy on her right calf.

Anne Curtis’s wrist tattoo is so cool, it’ll make you look twice. What appears to be a thin cross etched on her right wrist is actually the word “dream” written in script.

Her husband Erwan Heussaff got one for himself too. The couple had them done at the popular Playground Tattoo studio in November 2017, when they flew to South Korea for their K-drama-inspired prenup shoot.

Anne’s other tatt is pretty in all ways! She went for a tiny pink heart with a gradient effect and sparkling stars around it. The actress got inked at another famous Seoul-based studio, called Heemee Tattoo, while promoting her film Buybust in July 2018.

Maine Mendoza’s swallows

The three swallows at the back of Maine Mendoza’s left shoulder are definitely ones to get you flitting to your nearest salon. While the actress hasn’t revealed the meaning of this charming work of art, birds often signify independence and swallows, in particular, symbolize feminine dignity and loveliness in Chinese culture.

This is only one part of Maine’s tattoo collection, which includes three dots on her right ankle etched by legendary artist Apo Whang-Od and a wave tattoo on her left rib.

Bea Gomez’s unique symbols

The unique symbols on the left fingers of Miss Universe Philippines 2021 Bea Gomez are also ones to give you major inspo. It was made by her longtime friend Boots Brandon and, according to the tattoo artist, Bea said that “it’s just a symbol.”

Prior to this, Bea got herself inked with an armband during her 23rd birthday. She said it signified her “blossoming into womanhood.”
