Naelah Alshorbaji of Parañaque City wins Miss Philippines Earth crown

Filipina-Syrian Naelah Alshorbaji of Parañaque City was crowned Miss Philippines Earth 2021 during the pageant’s virtual coronation on Sunday, Aug. 8.

Alsoharbaji bagged the top title at the pageant, besting 65 other candidates.

Ameera Almamari of Atimonan, Quezon Province is Miss Philippines Air, Rocel Angelah Songano of Iloilo City is Miss Philippines Water, Roni Menses of Mandaluyong City is Miss Philippines Fire, and Sofia Grace Galve of Tanay, Rizal was named Miss Philippines Eco-Tourism.

Completing the Top 10 candidates are Fatima Kate Bisan of Sarangani, Yllana Marie Aduana of Siniloan, Laguna, Aubrey Asuncion of Sto. Domingo, Albay, Riah De Ocampo of Silay City, and Katheryn Tan Guipetacio of Sugbongcogon, Misamis Oriental.

Alsoharbaji succeeded Miss Philippines Earth 2020 Roxanne Allison Baeyens, who was crowned Miss Earth-Water 2020 last year. 

The 23-year-old beauty queen is set to represent the Philippines in the Miss Earth 2021 pageant, which has yet to announce its date and location.

This is the second time Miss Philippines Earth held a virtual crowning ceremony due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The 66 candidates participated in a series of virtual preliminary competitions which were held in the comfort of their own homes.
