'Bling Empire's' Cherie Chan gives a peek of her wedding gown fitting: 'I definitely want to be like a princess'

Cherie Chan admitted that she’s not the most decisive bride ever. But one thing’s for sure… the Bling Empire star already found the wedding gown.

“My gown fitting was actually really fun. They [Nicole + Felicia] prepared like 10 wedding gowns for me,” she told PhilSTAR L!fe as she was on her way to the Petersen Museum Gala in Los Angeles. “I was like, ‘Okay, they were all perfect and beautiful.’ But I decided on one and I actually haven't shown it yet… That would be the one I will wear on my big day obviously.”

While the big reveal will happen on the wedding day, Chan gave us a peek of the other dresses she wore from the fitting, saying that she just “fell in love with the brand,” Nicole + Felicia, a duo of female designers. (Fun fact: the same designer made Taylor Swift’s red and white gowns in the I Bet You Think About Me music video.)

Chan reached out to the Taiwan and Shanghai-based designers to create the dress of her dreams: something big but lightweight and, as Jadore would describe it, princess-like.

“I definitely want to be like a princess, ‘cause that’s what Jadore wants, too. She's like ‘Mommy, when you design the dress, make sure it looks like a princess dress,’” she shared adding that her little helper made the process more fun.

“She was so into the wedding dress design, and every time like the text would come in, she would check the photos and actually I would have to ask her for opinion,” Chan said.

Among the 10 gowns that were flown to California, Chan’s favorites included the tube dresses with ostrich feathers, which moves beautifully as she walks. “It’s really pretty!” Chan exclaimed.

During the season finale of the Netflix reality show, Chan surprised the crowd by proposing to her longtime boyfriend in front of friends and family at her son’s 100th day party. But in Aug. 30, 2021, Lee returned the big question at the Jacquemart-André Museum in Paris. It was her turn to say “Yes.”

The denim heiress continued to share that they’re still deciding between holding the wedding in California, Taiwan, or France in the summer of 2022 with their closest friends and family. Will the cast of Bling Empire be invited? They don’t know yet.

“It’s a lot of work. We’re still planning and debating on like, where the location would be,” Chan said.

She advices other brides- and grooms-to-be: “Wedding planning is not easy at all. Have a great wedding planner. And have a great team in mind. And have I guess have a piece of paper or a diary to write down what you want for your wedding and go from there.”
