The spookiest time of the year is finally here!

Besides binge-watching horror movies and exploring places that are coated with a haunted past, one of the ways how Filipinos celebrate Halloween is by dressing up as their favorite characters in stunning and impressive costumes.

Here are some of the local celebrities who have managed to scare and slay in their Halloween getups:

Kris Bernal and Maymay Entrata

Kris Bernal and Maymay Entrata coincidentally channeled their inner Sailor Guardians and transformed into the beautiful and magical warriors of love and justice, Sailor Moon and Sailor Mercury respectively.

Both Kris and Maymay donned their respective characters' Sailor uniforms, with Kris completing her outfit with a magical scepter and a gorgeous moon backdrop.

"If I am just fully capable of using Sailor Moon's scepter to heal the sick and wounded, return the dead to life, and even restore the whole planet," Kris wrote.

Pia Wurtzbach

While Kris and Maymay decided to dress up as protectors of the world, Pia Wurtzbach took a dark turn and slipped on the costume of one of the Powerpuff Girls' most dastardly enemies, Mojo Jojo.

The beauty queen is set to rule the world with her gorgeous violet cape, knee-high boots, and Mojo Jojo's signature helmet that covers his exposed brain, capped off with menacing lightning effects to complete her villanous aura.

But of course, the Powerpuff Girls always save the day in the end, and Pia is joined by celebrity hairstylist Renz Pangilinan as Buttercup, makeup artist Angelo Eugenio as Blossom, and beauty photographer BJ Pascual as Bubbles.

Cassy Legaspi

Cassy Legaspi is ready to show off her moves as she put on the suit of Elektra Natchios, a character appearing in Marvel's superhero comic books who is known as a deadly assassin and bounty hunter trained by an ancient ninja cult.

"I am Elektra Natchios, not even the stars are safe in the sky," Cassy wrote in the caption, showing off her character's signature twin sai weapons, which are long daggers with narrow blades and twin blade guards.

Awra Briguela

Barbie will surely eat her heart out once she sees what Awra Briguela prepared for her Halloween costume.

The fabulous comedian is living the Bratz life as she donned the sizzling look of the iconic doll franchise in front of a colorful disco background, complete with their super long and thick hairstyles as well as their big eyes and their lush and glossy lips.

Alexa Ilacad

For her Halloween attire, Alexa Ilacad is bringing to life Emily the Corpse Bride from Tim Burton's 2005 stop-motion dark fantasy film. With her tattered wedding gown and a sorrowful aura across her pale blue skin, Alexa looks hauntingly beautiful as she poses underneath a night sky background.

"Now tell me, can a heart still break once it’s stopped beating?" Alexa wrote in the caption.

Andrea Brillantes

Andrea Billantes is a vision of youth and radiant beauty as she donned the look of the ethereal La Muerte, a character from the 2014 film The Book of Life, wherein she is the ruler and queen of the Land of The Remembered.

Her awe-inspiring look is composed of an extremely large sombrero adorned with gold and black skulls and a fiery red sequin dress decorated with cempasuchil (Mexican marigold flowers), with the hem of the dress layered with more skulls and white candles.

Adding flare to her Halloween attire is her gorgeous sketeton makeup with rhinestones around her eyes.

Vicki Belo and Scarlet

Beauty doctor to the stars Vicki Belo and her daughter Scarlet treated fans to an adorable dance to Meghan Trainor's "Made You Look" while they showcased their Halloween getups. In her Instagram post on Oct. 29, Vicki is seen wearing an inflatable costume, which gives the illusion that she's reading a dinosaur. Meanwhile, Scarlet is the Pokémon creature Umbreon.

The Crawford family

Billy Crawford, his wife and actress Coleen Garcia, and their son Amari kept their Halloween costumes simple by dressing up as Will Byers, Eddie Munson, and Eleven from the science fiction horror series Stranger Things.

"Didn’t wanna break our little tradition, so we did what we could. Also made the most of Amari’s (too short) haircut and took his photos before we left Manila. Billy said he couldn’t dress as any of the kids because of his beard. I told him he was wrong," Coleen wrote in the caption.

Barbie Imperial

We almost didn't recognize Barbie Imperial as Chucky for Halloween. Posing with a knife with fake blood, the actress captioned her photo: "Hi, I'm Chucky! Wanna play?"

Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano

Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano dressed up as Peter Pan and Tinkerbell for the spooky season. On Instagram, the actor shared an adorable video of him and his love team partner taken during a Halloween party they attended. "To live would be an awfully great adventure," he wrote in the caption.

Come on, Barbie, let's go, party! Mavy Legaspi and Kyline Alcantara posed inside a pink box as Ken and Barbie, leaving netizens in awe of their Halloween costumes. Referring to her rumored boyfriend, Kyline said "You will always be the Ken to my Barbie" as she shared some snaps from their photoshoot.

Rhian Ramos

Rhian Ramos' chosen costume for Halloween was absolutely on-point. The actress decided to celebrate the spooky season as Beth Harmon of hit Netflix series The Queen's Gambit. In her Instagram post, she thanked her boyfriend Sam Verzosa for the "production design," where she made use of "his sister's chess set, an empty McCormick bottle, and a whole bunch of Luxxe White."
