Philippines' Tatyana Alexi Austria bagged first runner-up title at the Miss Eco Teen International 2021 finals held in Cairo, Egypt on Dec. 20.

Vu Huyn Diu of Vietnam took home the crown, succeeding last year's winner Roberta Tamondong, the first Filipina to win the title.

USA's Lia Macias placed second runner-up with Belgium's Cameroon lommelen as third runner-up and Egypt's Habiba Osman as fourth runner-up.

Austria walked the runway in a gorgeous pink gown by Chico Estiva.

During the Q&A portion, she was asked to discuss "plastics." Here's how she answered:

"We are surrounded by plastics in every single day of our lives and every single moment we use plastics. It is time we use it wisely. We need to use it in a way that isn't as destructive as we use it today because we must conserve every single resource we have, conserve this planet as it is for future generations. We must remember that this earth isn't ours. It is merely borrowed from the future generations and it is time we give it back to them. It is time we live our lives for them. It is time we do every single action of every single day of our lives with respect and solidarity for humanity for a brighter tomorrow."

The Miss World Philippines organization also congratulated Austria after the international pageant.

"You made us all proud. You really did well. Thank you for raising our flag," the organization wrote.

The 18-year-old Austria participated in the Miss World Philippines pageant and was crowned Miss Eco Teen Philippines.

After the pageant, the Pinay beauty shared an Instagram story thanking her supporters for their congratulatory messages.

"Taking time to read all of your messages one by one. Thank you so much everyone!" she captioned over a photo of a hearty meal. "And now, I'll be eating my heart out."
