LIST: How are the Philippines’ Miss Universe queens doing now?

Did you know that the Philippines has been a consistent Miss Universe Top 20 finalist for 10 years now? 

With the 2020 Miss Universe pageant nearing day by day, we’re throwing it back to the unforgettable queens who’ve conquered the beauty pageant scene in recent years. Though they may have now traveled far and wide, their impact remains undeniable.

2010—Venus Raj (4th runner-up)

The 2010 Miss Universe 4th runner-up has been a consistent figurehead in the MU scene, as she’s continued to be a judge in numerous other beauty competitions.

She’s since continued her humanitarian efforts and even finished her master's in Community Development from the University of the Philippines.

2011—Shamcey Supsup-Lee (3rd Runner-up)

The 2011 4th runner-up and licensed architect has been living it lowkey with her husband and two children, Nyla and Nathan. In 2020, she was also appointed as national director for the Miss Universe Philippines Organization.

In a recent Instagram photo posted on May 9, she shared a stunning photoshoot with Miss Universe 2020 representative Rabiya Mateo.

2012—Janine Tugonon (1st runner-up)

Janine has been continuing her modeling career with projects alongside international brands like Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, and more.

The engineer-slash model has been keeping it healthy on social media as a fierce advocate of veganism and living healthy. Though she hasn’t been traveling amid the pandemic, her travel photos from Hollywood and Hawaii have got us swooning!

Maxine pursued showbiz soon after her Miss Universe bout, as she now headlines the GMA teleserye First Yaya.

2017—Rachel Peters (Top 10)

The Fil-Brit model is now living as a perma-vacationer in Siargao, where she runs a beach-side restaurant and bar.

2018—Catriona Gray (Winner)

Queen Cat has been consistent with her advocacies of women empowerment and fighting poverty throughout the years.

On May 4, she shared that she’s returning to Australia to reunite with her family since she hasn’t seen them since the pandemic began.

2019—Gazini Ganados - Top 20

This Filipino-Palestine beauty has been keeping her social media followers updated on her happenings. She's also been appointed as an ambassador for the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals through her advocacy of Elderly Care.
