This could be the piercing sign you've been waiting for.

Similar to tattoos, getting pierced is one of the surefire ways to express one's self. Yet unlike their ink counterparts, the process could be even tricky with the inclusion of aftercare and adjustments to make sure that your new pierced skin heals quickly and doesn't get infected.

Still on the fence about getting pierced? Check out these local celebrities who bravely took the risk and are now rocking their piercings.

Kathryn Bernardo

Starting with the young queen of ear piercings herself, Kathryn Bernardo. Back in 2019, Kath made waves she showed off her collection of healed studs. The actress had most of her piercings done either in Dubai and Quezon City's 55Tinta, which is also a celebrity favorite tattoo salon.

The actress once shared that each new mark apparently signifies a milestone in her life. Even better? Her mom, Min, fully supports her daughters' studs as she once called out a fan who unknowingly pulled the star's ear during the premiere of Hello, Love, Goodbye.

"Napanggigilan na naman ang anak ko! Huhuhu di pa galing ang ear pierce nya!" Kath's supportive mother wrote on Twitter.

Heart Evangelista

Yep, even the luxury icon knows that piercings never go out of style! Heart has a collection of curated ear piercings, as she regularly switches up the style depending on her look and mood for the day.

Our personal favorite is this double-hooped look with subtle but significant pearl additions. True enough, piercings can totally make an outfit look more polished.

Are we even surprised that the trendsetting Nadine has her own piercings? Though she hasn't been regularly posting her piercings, dedicated fans would know that Nadine has been rocking the studs as early as 2019.

Kylie Padilla

Piercings are for everyone, even strong mommies who are catering to their kids! On February 2021, Kylie headed to another celeb-recommended salon, Vimana Tattoo, to get a helix and custom double upper lobe piercings.

Though she chose subtle placements, it undeniably completes her look.

Piolo and Iñigo Pascual

Hey, it runs in the family. Proving that piercings are indeed gender-neutral, Iñigo Pascual lowkey debuted a curated set of piercings in his helix and lower lobe.

A few years later, Papa P took a page from his son and got six (read it again, six!) piercings for his role in the Alessandra De Rossi-directed film My Amanda.

Sad news though, as the star said that the piercings permanently damaged his ear.

"For me, this is one of the easiest roles I’ve ever done. I just had to grow my hair out and then I had a permanent injury here because I pierced my ears, six piercings for the role, and (the ear is) permanently damaged," Piolo said regarding his role as TJ.

Maja Salvador

Adding to Vimana's expansive celebrity clients, Maja Salvador visited the salon on December of 2020 to get a classic mid and upper lobe piercing of her own.

Xyriel Manabat

Finally, former child star Xyriel Manabat she's not a little girl anymore with a trio set of chest piercings. The 18-year-old shared that the milestone has been part of her bucket list for a while, but she went ahead and dove right in last Feb. 11.

The actress had her piercings done in Don Antonio Tattoo in Quezon City.
