The top 3 contestants of the 70th Miss Universe, held in Eliat, Israel on Dec. 13, faced one last test before one of them took home the crown: the final Q&A portion.
For this crucial segment, Miss India, Paraguay, and South Africa all had to answer the same question about women empowerment.
Q: What advice would you give to young women watching on how to deal with the pressures they face today?
Miss South Africa Lalela Mswane
"I would implore young women today to choose courage over comfort every opportunity they get. I would also like young women to know that since the beginning of time, they've had everything within them to achieve anything they wanted. It was unfortunately the world that convinced us we did not. Thank you."

"Well, I think the biggest pressure the youth of today is facing is to believe in themselves. To know that you are unique, that's what makes you beautiful. Stop comparing yourselves with others and let's talk about more important things that's happening worldwide. I think this is what you need to understand. The coronation night ended with India's Harnaaz Sandhu taking home the Miss Universe 2021 title. Paraguay's Nadia Ferreira finished as first runner-up while South Africa's Lalela Mswane bagged second runner-up.
