Here’s how you can get a swab test for only P391 at NKTI

The National Kidney and Transplant Institute (NKTI) is offering RT-PCR (Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction) testing for only P391, merely 10% of the test’s regular price of P3,800.

In a Facebook post on Jan. 26, NKTI said the discounted price is available for PhilHealth members, while those who are non-members would have to pay the regular rate of P3,800. Testing is conducted at NKTI’s Executive Parking Area in its headquarters on East Ave., Diliman, Quezon City.

The organization announced on Feb. 4 that the new schedule for testing will be 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. from Mondays to Saturdays and 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Sundays. Results are released the following day at the Executive Office Registration Area.

If you’re planning to get yourself checked, better make your way to NKTI early, as testing is done on a first-come, first-served basis with a limit of only 150 patients in the morning and 50 patients in the afternoon.

However, if your budget is tight, you can also proceed to Manila’s drive-thru testing site at the Quirino Grandstand, which offers swab tests at no cost at all to everyone. Testing is done by appointment, which you can schedule through the hotline of Manila Health Department’s Emergency Operation Center.
