Vin Abrenica reveals his thoughts on cheating: ‘You always have a choice’

For new dad Vin Abrenica, cheating will always be a choice—no matter what gender you are.

Engaged couple Vin Abrenica and Sophie Albert recently sat down in a Q&A and mukbang vlog to answer personal questions and share their thoughts on relationship matters like cheating.

At one point in the video, Albert asked Abrenica if he believes that “men can’t resist the temptation to cheat.”

Abrenica said that while anyone can be tempted to cheat, it’s unfair to assume that all men are unable to resist temptation.

Ang nakakalimutan ng statement nayun is that God gave us a choice, and that’s His gift to humans, to man. Binigyan rin Niya tayo ng choice to choose what’s right and wrong,” he added.

The actor stressed that it’s a person’s choice to cheat or give in to temptation.

May taong cheater, will he always be a cheater all his life? It’s a choice. You choose to cheat, or you choose to be tempted. It’s not a matter of sex or biology, kung lalaki or babae ka. If it’s not working in the first place... why would you get something from other girls? Why not consult your partner first?” he added.

According to Abrenica, communication and teamwork are essential in making a relationship work.

Kung ayaw ninyo pa rin ang isa’t isa, then at least you have closure. Maghiwalay kayo. Then you do the stuff that you want to do. At least you’re not going to cheat, but you’re going to do what you want that can satisfy you. You always have a choice,” he said.

Abrenica and Albert have been engaged since December 2020. They revealed the news of their engagement in February 2021, where they also announced they were expecting a baby girl. The actress gave birth a month later.

Abrenica’s older brother Aljur was involved in a cheating controversy amid his breakup with actress Kylie Padilla. Aljur has been mum on the issue, as of this writing.
