Jeffree Star is 'grateful' to be alive after a 'severe' car crash
Makeup mogul and YouTube celebrity Jeffree Star and his best friend Daniel Lucas are hospitalized after getting into a "severe car accident" in Wyoming on Friday, April 16.
Star's social media accounts shared an update to his followers, captioning a photo of the celebrity in a hospital bed with a brace around his neck and his friend beside him.
"A few hours ago Jeffree and Daniel were in a severe car accident and the car flipped 3 times after hitting black ice. We will update you all when the doctor gives us more info. So thankful they are both alive," said the tweet.

Fortunately, Star has been treated and released from the hospital, while his friend Lucas is still being monitored.
The makeup mogul later on tweeted to share that the accident "was one of the scariest moments of our entire lives."
"I’m so grateful to be here still. I’m in excruciating pain because part of my back is broken and I have vertebrae fractures on my spine. My doctor said it will take a few months but I should make a full recovery," Star said.
His friend, Lucas, however suffered internal injuries and complications with his organs due to his battle with stage-three colon cancer. "They’re monitoring him 24/7. We’ll know more soon. Thank you to every single person checking on us," Star wrote.
Prior to the crash, the two friends were filming a video in Wyoming, which is said to be uploaded in his channel, the day before and morning of the accident.
“Tomorrow we have a brand-new video. It’s really special to me. Me and Daniel share a lot of our past, a lot of what’s going on now,” Star said via his Instagram Stories last Thursday, April 15. “[The video] is over 20 minutes of history, comedy, laughter, crying, pain and — most of all — inspiration.”
