Man charged for sexually abusing, killing 65-year-old mom before Mother's Day
Just when most children were gearing up for a Mother’s Day celebration, a man in the US was created an unbelievable nightmare for his own family.
Pushkar Sharma, 28, got charged with two counts of murder and sexual abuse of his 65-year-old mom just a day before the occasion. As per Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz, the crime took place in their Jamaica home along Winchester Boulevard in Queens Village.
Prosecutors said that the suspect allegedly attacked the victim from behind, choking and beating her until the latter fell to the floor.
He didn’t stop there—he hit his mother multiple times and then sexually assaulted her, causing her to lose consciousness and breathe her last.
The parent was later found by her daughter, who immediately called 911 and rushed her to Long Island Jewish Medical Center, where she was declared dead.
According to the New York Post, the son “turned himself into police custody and reportedly confessed." Further investigation is still ongoing.
