After Dominic Roque issued an official statement condemning Cristy Fermin's claims against him, the showbiz columnist answered back, denying that she said Congressman Bong Suntay and Mayor Bullet Jalosjos were benefactors of the actor.

In her show Cristy FerminuteFermin explained her side and the claims she made in a previous vlog. The showbiz writer acknowledged that she had questions about Roque and ex-fiancée Bea Roque's breakup as well as how he's able to afford the high-end condominium he's living in. She added that she later learned that the said condo was owned by a male politician.

"Napakalinaw po, wala po kaming sinabing benefactor ni Dominic Roque etong si Ginoong Bong Suntay. Hindi po namin sinasabi na nagkaroon siya ng gasolinahan dahil sa espesyal na pagtrato," Fermin said.

The writer did claim that Roque owned a Cleanfuel gasoline station, which the company later debunked in a statement. Suntay also dismissed the claims, stressing that the actor was just a brand ambassador.

Meanwhile, Fermin also denied mentioning Dapitan mayor Jalosjos' name in her vlogs.

"Mula nang salatin ko ang isyu ng breakup ni Bea at Dominic, ni isang banggit po ng pangalan nitong si Mayor Bullet Jalosjos ay hindi ko binitawan. Kahit po initials, kahit po clue tungkol sa kanya ay wala po kayong nalaman mula sa akin. Hindi po ako nagsalita," she said, adding that it was other vloggers who dragged the mayor into the issue.

On Feb. 20, Suntay and Jalosjos broke their silence in a vlog with Jay Ruiz. The Dapitan mayor admitted that the condo was his and said that he and Roque were just friends.

Roque's legal counsel, Fernandez & Singson Law also shared a statement condemning Fermin's claims against him.

"We strongly condemn the malicious and defamatory public statements of Ms. Fermin. These defamatory statements were made by Ms. Fermin under the guise of entertainment news without any effort from her to confirm the same from Mr. Dominic Roque," it read.

"These innuendoes alluded that Mr. Dominic Roque has a benefactor who is a politician and that this politician is the owner of the condominium unit where he currently resides. The messaging of the innuendos were clear and unambiguous," it added.

Roque and Alonzo split was first announced by Boy Abunda on Feb. 6, with the couple later confirming the breakup.
