The Philippine Science High School Main Campus Batch 1998 is set to host the Tibay Pisay Grand Alumni Homecoming, which is slated for Sept. 2 at the school's wellness center.

Marking the first face-to-face homecoming at the institution since the COVID-19 pandemic, the affair will celebrate the "resilience of the Pisay community amid recent challenges." It will also serve as the official launch of the latest initiative of Pisay '98—the Tibay Pisay Student Wellness Center at the main campus—which will enable PSHS scholars to keep their mental health in check even with the demands and difficulties that come with being part of the country's premier secondary education institution.

"In this center, we want to communicate that student life is not just about getting good grades. In reality, one needs to rest in order to work better and be more productive," explained Dr. Faith Anne Buenaventura-Alcazaren, a pediatrician leading the Tibay Pisay Legacy Project.

Proceeds from the event will go to the Tibay Pisay Wellness Center.

The Tibay Pisay Wellness Center has a target budget of P2.5 million. “Every peso we invest is a testament to our commitment to our students’ mental wellness and resilience,” Pisay ‘98 executive committee member Ria Guevarra said.

The PSHS National Alumni Association, the fresh graduate class of 2023, and the other Pisay Jubilarian batches of 1973, 1978, 1983, 1988, 1993, 2003, 2008, and 2018 collectively support Tibay Pisay.

The homecoming celebration will feature a '90s rock theme, highlighting the iconic music era for the silver jubilarians. It will include a Rockaoke competition for Pisay homecoming attendees as well as the winning bands from Pisay Rockdown 2023, a music contest with participants from both the current student body and alumni that helped raise funds for the Tibay Pisay Wellness Center through merchandise purchases at the Pisay shop.

Interested PSHS alumni from all batches can sign up for the event here. Other Pisay batches can also reserve a table for the upcoming gathering here. Proceeds from the affair will go to the Tibay Pisay Wellness Center.
