Miss Intercontinental Cuba Yeniffer Marin clears she does not 'have problems with the candidates'

By Camille Santiago Published Nov 03, 2021 2:25 pm

Cuba's Yeniffer Marin wrote a message to those who misinterpreted her recent posts about the Miss Intercontinental pageant. The beauty queen wanted to make it clear that she never spoke bad about other candidates, but rather it is the organization whom she called a "fraud."

"This goes to all the people who misrepresented my message," Marin wrote as translated.

"I am not the same as many queens, I am different, I speak truthfully, and always with respect, I never spoke of any of the winners of that day since there are many things to say that are not seen during competitions. I did not have or have problems with the candidates, my message was direct to the organization," she added.

She continued that she will soon reveal "all the injustices" the organization has done to her and the other candidates.

But despite not placing on the finals round in Miss Intercontinental 2021, Marin says she has still won friends, experiences, and learnings.

"I continue to be happy because the Message #patriayvida was given and I REPRESENTED MY COUNTRY THROUGHOUT HIGH," she ended.

Marin recently took to Instagram her disappointment with the Miss Intercontinental organization. She called them a "fraud" and that being a Power of Beauty, the organization's slogan, means having "money, power and influential direction."

She also revealed that her National Costume was destroyed and was found on the garbage bin.

Miss Intercontinental Cuba and its franchise holder, Belleza Nacional Cuba, have since then released a statement, apologizing to the community for Marin's actions.
