Adjusted mall hours and traffic flow for miting de avance 2022

The operation hours of malls and traffic flow near the campaign rallies on May 7 have announced adjustments in time for the miting de avance gatherings.

By May 8, a day before elections, all candidates are required to halt campaigning. Ka Leody De Guzman already concluded his last rally at the Quezon City Memorial Circle covered court on May 4, while the other presidential candidates are scheduled to have their final rallies on May 7, which are all expected to draw their biggest crowds as a final show of force.

Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. - Parañaque City

The former senator and Davao City mayor Sara Duterte are set to conclude their campaign at Block 7, fronting Solaire, in Parañaque City on May 7.

Due to its proximity to the area, Solaire has announced that its parking spaces will only accommodate restaurant diners, casino patrons, and guests of their hotel and arcade establishments. Before parking, guests will have to present membership cards or confirmation letters to be permitted inside.

City of Dreams Manila has likewise announced that their parking premises will only be available to hotel and establishment patrons.

Membership cards and booking confirmations will be requested prior to entering the parking building.

As for mall-goers, SM Mall of Asia has released an outline for access points going to the supermall.

These four roads will be closed starting Friday, May 6, until Sunday, May 8:

  • JW Diokno Blvd from Aseana Avenue to Bradco Avenue
  • Coral Way Eastbound from Seashell lane to JW Diokno Blvd
  • Coral Way - JW Dioknow Intersection
  • JW Diokno Blvd from Coral Way to Marina Way

EDSA, from the Diosdado Macapagal Blvd and JW Diokno Blvd, is the advisable route going to the complex.

Leni Robredo - Makati City

The camp of Leni Robredo said it is expecting to gather over half a million attendees during the candidate's final campaign lap this May 7 at Ayala Avenue cor Makati Avenue.

With the Robredo-Pangilinan final rally starting at 5:00 PM, Makati City malls near the proximity have adjusted their schedules to cater to the attendees.

Greenbelt

  • May 6 - 11 AM to 10 PM
  • May 7 (rally day) - 10 AM to 2 AM

Glorietta

  • May 7 - 10 AM to 1:00 AM

Ayala Malls Circuit

  • May 7 - 10 AM  to 12:00 AM
  • May 8 - 10 AM  to 12:00 AM

Makati City has also announced expected road closures for May 7.

Meanwhile, Leni-Kiko supporters who would like to book a car to the venue can do so by looking for the pin "VP Leni's MDA Ayala Ave Closure" on the Grab app.

The ride-hailing program offers 11 drop-off points to choose from: Ayala Museum, BPI - Ayala 6750, China Bank - 8745 Paseo de Roxas, Cityland Herrera Tower, Medical Towers Makati, One Central Makati, Robinsons Bank - Sedeno Salcedo, Sycip Law Center, Teleperformance Center - San Lorenzo Makati, The Makati Tuscany, and UPCB Main Office Makati.

The venues of her fellow candidates apparently don't have the feature.

Manny Pacquiao - General Santos City

Pacquiao is slated to hold his miting de avance on May 7 at the Oval Plaza in his hometown of General Santos City.

The GenSan LGU has since announced temporary road closures in Pendatun Avenue and Roxas Avenue from 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM to make way for the senator's final gathering.

Other portions of Pioneer Avenue, Roxas Avenue, and Pendatuin Junction will also be restricted for a gathering of the Robredo People's Council on the same day.
