Popular Russian YouTuber Stanislav Reshetnyak a.k.a. Stas Reeflay participated in the popular sinister trend “trash streaming” at the cost of his girlfriend’s life and eventually his freedom.

Reshetnyak was sentenced to six years in prison for the death of his girlfriend Valentina Grigoryeva, who he abused during a livestream as viewers who paid him to commit such sickening acts watched. One of his viewers allegedly paid $1,000 (P48,000) for him to inflict the abuse.

The paid livestream was done on a different platform in December 2020 but until today, clips of the disturbing video still circulate on YouTube.

In the livestream, Reshetnyak is seen seemingly forcing 28-year-old Grigoryeva, who was then only wearing her underwear, to step out of the balcony in freezing temperatures. He also verbally abused his girlfriend, as seen in the livestream, where he called her a “prostitute” and “smelly.”

At one point, he is seen dragging the limp body of Grigoryeva inside the house. “My bunny, what’s up with you?” He was heard saying.

A seemingly panicked Stanislav Reshetnyak during the livestream. On the couch on the left side of the screen lies the body of Valentina Grigoryeva covered in a blanket.

Seemingly panicked, Reshetnyak told his viewers, “Guys… no pulse… she’s pale. She is not breathing.”

When it appeared to Reshetnyak’s viewers that Grigoryeva was lifeless, one of them called an ambulance.

The livestream continued to thousands of viewers, even until the paramedics who responded pronounced Grigoryeva dead.

It was later revealed that Grigoryeva died from head injuries. According to the Moscow Times, a medical examination also found traumatic brain injury, cerebral hemorrhage, and multiple bruises on her body. Earlier reports that she was pregnant at the time of her death were later denied.

28-year-old Grigoryeva died from head injuries inflicted by Reshetnyak during a paid livestream.

Reshetnyak testified before the court and admitted beating his girlfriend. He was convicted of “intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm, dangerous to human life, committed with the use of an object used as a weapon, resulting in the death of the victim by negligence.”

He is currently serving his time in a maximum security prison colony in Russia.

The despicable trend “trash streaming” is popular in Russia, where content creators broadcast violence, torture and humiliating acts, which allow them to earn money through viewer “donations.”

The rising trend in Russia has inspired some to commit unspeakable acts in the name of fame and money, including burying alive a homeless man, drugging and sexually assaulting a woman in her home, and slamming a woman’s face against a table.

These livestreams reportedly nudged Russian lawmakers to address the trend and threaten those who will commit such acts of up to six years of jail time.
