Taguig, Cebu Province, and Cavite candidates lead Missosology and Sash Factor’s MUPH predictions

Online magazine pageant sites Missosology and Sash Factor, well-known for analyzing and making predictions on beauty pageants, have unveiled their hot picks for the upcoming Miss Universe Philippines 2021—and the Top 6 for both are very, very much similar.

Last week, we saw the 28 delegates showcase their catwalk skills, beauty, and personality during the week-long preliminary interviews and national costume, swimsuit, and evening gown competitions.

And now, as the MUPH 2021 coronation night is inching closer, pageant experts have their best bets posted, listing the names of the contestants we should keep a close eye on.

Miss Taguig Katrina Dimaranan

Leading the spot for both groups is Taguig's Katrina Dimaranan. According to Missosology, the former Love Island USA contestant "proved she is quick-witted during the preliminary interview round." Sash Factor also said the same, adding "she is ready, anytime and anywhere."

"She also showcased her veteran smarts during the all important swimsuit and evening gown preliminaries," added Missosology.

"What PH needs right now is someone who can carry the full weight of Filipino pageantry might, someone who can deliver the goods with such limited time on her hand plus she can carry the double edge sword of Filipino fandom, the craziness, the enthusiasm and the passion and obsession of pageant fans," Sash Factor wrote. "And that is Katrina @katrina_dimaranan, TESTED and PROVEN!"

Miss Pangasinan Maureen Wroblewitz

Maureen Wroblewitz's undeniable beauty puts her to second place in Missosology's leaderboard and sixth on the Sash Factor's list.

"It can’t be denied that she is one of the most beautiful faces of the competition," said Missosology. "She is also trained by Aces & Queens, which has produced a number of pageant winners for the country. Knowing she already conquered a competition before, we expect Maureen to surprise us all come finals."

Miss Cebu Province's Steffi Aberasturi

Cebu Province's Steffi Aberasturi comes in second for Sash Factor, but third for Missosology.

Sash Factor believes she can "shine" in the international stage with a charm and personality that makes her worthy of a crown. While for Missosology, Aberasturi is "one of the most polished candidates in this edition" who, despite being a newbie in national pageants, still worked like a pro.

Miss Cavite Victoria Velasquez Vincent

Cavite's Victoria Velasquez places third in Sash Factor, and fifth in Missosology.

"Victoria fits the bill of current Miss Universe winners: well-spoken, modern, beautiful and most of all, with a purpose-driven agenda," said Missosology while likening her "beauty and demeanor" to Miss Universe 2017 Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters from South Africa.

Miss Cebu City Beatrice Luigi Gomez

Placing fourth in both leaderboards is Cebu's Beatrice Luigi Gomez.

Like Dimaranan, Gomez proved that she works with grace under pressure during the preliminary Q&A, making her "one of the best speakers" in this batch. "Over the past weeks, Beatrice looked like a winner, all thanks to her superb styling. Add to that her remarkable and solid prelims presentation," said Missosology.

Sash Factor also found the "dedication" and "ferocity" in her appealing.

Miss Laguna Leren Baustista

Sash Factor found that Laguna's Leren Bautista has something to "offer to the table in representing the Philippines internationally," giving the fifth spot to her.

Bautista's "amazing stage presence" also puts her in sixth place in Missosology's list of Hot Picks.
