HOW-TO: Book a drive-thru booster shot online

By SAAB LARIOSA Published Jan 03, 2022 5:36 pm

A drive-through vaccination site in Parañaque City has been accepting appointments for those who need COVID-19 booster shots for free.

The Solaire-ICTSI Foundation Vaccination Center – Nayong Pilipino Foundation (SIVC-NPF) is a drive-through mega vaccination site backed by the Department of Health (DOH) and Department of Tourism (DOT), which was set up to serve residents from Metro Manila and nearby provinces.

The facility houses eight ambulatory vaccination centers, 30 drive-through booths, and its own storage facility to aid in the country's vaccination and booster roll-out.

Unvaccinated adults, adolescents, and fully vaccinated adults due for a booster shot may schedule their jabs as soon as possible. No walk-ins are allowed, and pre-registration is required. Individuals inoculated with the Janssen vaccine are not yet eligible for booster shots on the site.

The NPF site is accessible via NAIAX, CAVITEX, SKYWAY, SLEX, Coastal Road, Macapagal Boulevard, and Roxas Boulevard. Shuttle services for non-motorists are also provided to and from SM Sucat. It can also be located by typing "NPF Drive-Thru" on Waze.

On Dec. 22, the Department of Health shortened the interval for the administration of booster doses for fully vaccinated adults.

In a press statement, the health agency said that boosters may now be given to adults at least three months after the second dose of a primary two-dose vaccine (AstraZeneca, Moderna, Pfizer, Sinovac, or Sputnik) or at least two months after the primary single-dose vaccine (Janssen).
