By SAAB LARIOSA Published May 02, 2022 9:24 pm Updated May 05, 2022 6:10 pm

After three months of sorties, house-to-house visits, and the wooing of voters, the 2022 presidential candidates are nearing the end of the campaign trail.

With their teams and hordes of supporters at the ready, aspirants have already announced their scheduled miting de avances, or "advanced meetings," before election day on May 9.

The staple miting de avance are usually the candidates' final big chance to woo undecided voters and solidify their camps. The final rallies are also usually when a campaign's biggest crowds are drawn. President Duterte's final miting de avance at Luneta park in 2016 drew over 300,000 supporters. By May 8, a day before elections, all candidates are required to halt campaigning as per Comelec.

Will you be participating in the final election rallies? Here's a running list of where each aspirant is headed before Election Day 2022.

Leody De Guzman

The labor leader's miting de avance will be held on Wednesday, May 4,  in the Quezon City Memorial Circle covered court in Liwasang Aurora in Metro Manila. The event will commence at 6 PM.

His running mate Walden Bello and senatorial candidates Luke Espiritu, Roy Cabonegro, and David D'Angel will join the event.

Panfilo "Ping" Lacson

Lacson's miting de avance will be held at the Verdant Square in Carmona, Cavite on May 6. Imus plays a special role for the senator, as it serves as his birthplace and where he held his proclamation rally last February.

"Samahan niyo kami sa aming Miting de Avance bukas at ipakita natin sa kanila ang tunay na lakas at dami ng sinasabi nilang 2%!" Lacson's Facebook announcement reads. In Pulse Asia surveys, the former PNP chief has maintained a 2% voting percentage.

Among the attendees of the Imus event are members of his senatorial slate: JV Ejercito, Guillermo Eleazer, Gringo Honasan, Manny Piñol, and Dra. Minguita Padilla.

Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr.

Marcos and his running mate, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio, will hold three final rallies in the country's three major regions as election day nears.

The sorties will kick off in Visayas on May 3 in Guimbal, Iloilo, followed by a Mindanao event on May 5 at Davao Del Norte. The tandem will then finish in Parañaque City on May 7, two days before election day.

Isko Moreno

The Manila Mayor will finish his campaign rally with "Miting De Avance: The Grand Finale" held on May 7 in his hometown, Tondo, Manila.

Manny Pacquiao

The senator will hold his miting de avance on May 7 at the Oval Plaza in his hometown of General Santos City. The venue is also where he started his presidential bid back in February.

Dubbed as the People's Champ Movement (PCM) Grand Rally, the event will also hold live music from rapper Skusta Clee, J Brothers, Max Surban, and 9K Records. Pilipinas Got Talent second season winner Marcelito Pomoy and Tawag ng Tanghalan champion Gerlyn Abaño will also be performing at the rally.

Leni Robredo

The Vice President is set to conclude her campaign trail with three grand rallies held on the same day, May 6: Sorsogon City (7:30 AM), Legaspi City (1:00 PM), and Naga City (4:00 PM).

Her miting de avance will then culminate at the Ayala Avenue cor Makati Avenue in Makati City on May 7, two days prior to the elections.

With Robredo's rallies regularly gathering large crowds, the VP's team has released the expected layout of the Ayala Avenue gathering. 13 LED screens will surround the area, while there will be medics and water stations every 100m.

The Robredo camp expects over 500,000 attendees for their Makati finale.

Ayala Malls has also released parking guidelines for motorists. Greenbelt, The Link, 6750 Steel Car, Glorietta, and Park Square parking areas will be open for 24 hours. Meanwhile, the Valero Dela Rosa, Lezazpi building, and Corinthian parking areas will only be open until 12 midnight.

Apart from the gatherings, Robredo has also urged her supporters to continue their house-to-house campaigns.

This list is regularly being updated with the miting de avance schedules of other candidates. Check back for more.
