Actor Kit Thompson has been put behind bars on March 18 after allegedly assaulting his girlfriend actress Ana Jalandoni.

Earlier in the day, Niko Baua reported that Thompson has been brought to the police for questioning after reportedly detaining and injuring Jalandoni. Tagaytay police rescued her after receiving a call from a local hotel.

Jalandoni reportedly sent a picture of herself to her friends, showing her injuries. A photo of her with black eyes has also been circulating online.

While her friends have sought the help of authorities, hotel staff also alerted the police after checking the commotion in the couple's hotel room.

Jalandoni was immediately brought to Tagaytay Medical Center for treatment after sustaining injuries to her face and different parts of the body, according to ANC's update. She's now recuperating in the hospital.

Cornerstone Entertainment, Thompson's management, said it has yet to receive a formal report regarding the alleged incident and declined to give a comment on the matter.

“However, we request the public to be mindful of casting judgment based on unfounded reports being circulated online,” Cornerstone said.
