2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup: Everything you need to know about the games and how to watch it

The FIBA World Cup is back in the Philippines as one of the host countries of the prestigious basketball competition.

Basketball fans have been waiting for this much-anticipated moment since it was announced in 2017. In pursuit of the most coveted Naismith Trophy, 32 countries including the Philippines will compete against each other to be this season’s FIBA World Cup Champion.

In the Philippines, the matches will take place in three venues: the Philippine Arena, Smart-Araneta Coliseum, and SM Mall of Asia Arena (SM MOA Arena) starting on Aug. 25 to Sept. 10.

How to buy tickets

Tickets for the Philippine Arena and the Arena Coliseum are available via ticketnet.com.ph, while tickets for the SM MOA Arena games are available via smtickets.com.

Single-game tickets at the Araneta Coliseum range from P499 to P27,299 depending on the matchup.

Meanwhile, single-game matches—including the sem-finals and finals—in SM MOA Arena range from P249 to P31,899.

How to watch online

Those who would not be able to watch in person may stream the games live through the Smart LiveStream App.

The games will also be streamed live on television via Cignal Pay-Per-View.

What is the schedule of the games

The event will kick off on Aug. 25 at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan. Angola vs. Italy will be at 4 p.m., while Dominican Republic vs. Philippines will be at 8 p.m.

There will also be games that day at SM MOA Arena between Mexico and Montenegro at 4:45 p.m., and Egypt and Lithuania at 8:30 p.m.

The finals game is set for Sept. 10 at SM MOA Arena.
