QC restobar faces shutdown for violating health protocols

The Quezon City government on July 12, Monday will reportedly issue a closure order against a bar where customers were seen partying in violation of health protocols such as physical distancing amid the COVID-19 pandemic, an official said.

Videos of the party went viral online and QC Task Force Disiplina identified the establishment in a DZMM Teleradyo interview as Ciso's Bar in San Francisco Del Monte, according to its head Rannie Ludovica.

“Mayroong may birthday at yung mga magkakakilala, naglilipatan at naglilipatan ng kanilang mga tables at the same time ang daming na-violate na health protocols so definitely today o mamaya lalabasan po ‘yan ng closure order ng ating mayor,” Ludovica said.

The local government will also consult with its legal department regarding the legal accountability of those seen partying in the video.

Valentine Rosales, one of the identified guests, gave a statement via Twitter.

“Don’t give anyone the license to bring you down. Because the only person who needs your validation is yourself,” the social media post read.

The QC task force head stressed resto bars were supposed to have their own health protocol marshall and they should reprimand their customers for not following the city's rules.
