Vaxxed individuals can now get discounts and win prizes from petroleum companies
Your vaccination card can not only get you freebies and discounts from restaurants, but from gas stations, too!
Caltex launched a campaign called "Biyaheng Bakunado" to encourage customers to get vaccinated.
Vaccinated customers are eligible to receive a P3 discount per liter for Platinum and Silver, and P2 per liter for diesel, and a maximum of 60 liters per transaction and only two transactions per day will be allowed.
You will need to show your vaccination card and a valid ID to avail of the promo. A discount record sheet will also be asked to fill out at the participating Caltex station.
"To battle swirling myths, fake news, and apprehension about vaccine efficacy, Caltex wants to encourage more Filipinos to get inoculated to protect themselves and their loved ones from COVID-19 by offering fuel discounts. The more people are vaccinated, the faster the country move toward normalcy and economic recovery," said CPI Country Chairman Billy Liu.
“Safety has always been a value of Caltex and this initiative is one way of fleshing out what is important to the Caltex brand and its customers,” he added.
The “Biyaheng Bakunado” promo will run from June 28 to July 18, 2021. Click here to see the list of participating stations.
Similarly, Unioil had a same promotion, which ended last June 30.
"With the rollout of the immunization program to help combat the coronavirus Covid-19 pandemic, more Filipinos are now getting access to the vaccine. While Covid-19 cases still continue to rise, Filipinos all over the country are becoming wiser and more proactive when it comes to making the choice to get vaccinated," Unioil said in a statement.
"Unioil hopes to encourage more Filipinos to make the wise choice of getting vaccinated – especially with the COVID-19 virus still very much around. Let us protect ourselves and those around us. We are all in this together," the petroleum company said in a statement.
Petron, on the other hand, is raffling off prizes to vaccinated Petron Loyalty Cards holders.
Prizes like motorcycles, smartphones, and free fuel for a year are up for grabs when you register and upload a photo of yourself with your vaccination card from July 1 to August 31, 2021 here.
