Portuguese football star Cristiano Ronaldo tested positive for coronavirus, the Portuguese Football Federation (PFF) said in a statement on Tuesday.

The 35-year-old is said to be “doing well, without symptoms, and is in isolation.”

Ronaldo played for Portugal against France in the Nations League on Sunday, and against Spain in a friendly last week.

He has also been dropped from the roster of the team in the upcoming Nations League match against Sweden in Lisbon.

In its statement, the PFF said following Ronaldo’s positive test, another round of tests was done for the rest of the team. Every player returned a negative test.

A day before getting the positive test result, Ronaldo posted on his social media accounts a photo of himself and his teammates with the caption “Unidos dentro e fora do campo! (United on and off the field!)”
