Senator Panfilo Lacson, who currently ranks fifth in the partial and unofficial results of the presidential race, said it’s time to “serve his family for a change.”

As of May 10, 11:03 a.m. the partial and unofficial results from the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) show Lacson has received 874,669 votes. This is according to the number of ballots from a total of 107,785 clustered precincts and from 96.82% of election returns.

Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. is currently the frontrunner in the presidential race with 30,710,158 votes.

“I’m going home. After being away too long looking after the needs of other people, it is time to serve my family for a change,” Lacson wrote on Twitter.

The senator and presidential aspirant added that enjoying the “peace and quiet in these challenging times” will be his “ life’s greatest reward.”

On May 9, Lacson told the media that he’s “at peace” after casting his vote at Bayan Luma 1 Elementary School in Imus, Cavite.

“I’m at peace actually. Sabi ko nga dalawa lang ang pwedeng puntahan, pwedeng pumunta ka ng Malakanyang o umuwi ka ng bahay,” the senator said.

This is Lacson’s second presidential loss after losing to former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo in 2004.
