Kris Aquino penned a tribute to his late brother, former president Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III, a day before his birthday on Feb. 8.

"I’m one day early because last year I was too emotional to post," the "Queen of All Media" wrote in an Instagram post Feb. 7, which contains a slideshow of Noynoy's treasured moments.

Kris said that at about 11:30 a.m. on Feb. 8, 2022, her staff Alvin and Rochelle came to her room with huge smiles to wake her up. She said they were holding a passport, much to her confusion.

"They said LBC had couriered it from the US Embassy. I asked to see, and there it was, my renewed 10 year multiple entry visa that we’d been waiting for since December," she said.

Kris, then, noted that the development made her realize the significance of the date at that time.

"I started crying… then we all started crying because nagparamdam ka," she said of Noynoy. "By that time, marami na 'kong nalaman na ginawa mo nang palihim to make sure 'bunso' (herself) and her boys (Josh and Bimb) would always be safe."

Kris also apologized to "Noy" for "being a brat and wasting years." She recalled visiting him in the hospital on May 18, 2021, though she should've been "emotionally calm and well rested" for her own medical procedure that night but had to reschedule it amid the overwhelming emotions upon her visit.

She also noted how Noynoy was fond of Josh as his "super favorite" nephew.

"I’m sure you see how often he continues to watch your videos on YouTube," Kris said of Josh.

Kris thanked Noynoy for "everything" she never thanked him for.

"I hope you've noticed I'm more private now... I've seen the wisdom in quietly enduring my physical suffering," she said. "Just like you, because that's what courage is all about. Thank you to all who continue praying for us."

"Happy 63rd birthday to the best Kuya any bunso could've wished for," she added.

Noynoy passed away on June 24, 2021, due to renal disease secondary to diabetes. He was 61.
