The Philippine STAR has landed among the global top ten of NewsWhip's Top Publishers’ Facebook Pages and Top Facebook Pages for the third quarter of 2021.

With a total of 44,952,396 recorded engagements for the period, The Philippine STAR's Facebook page landed at the top 7 of NewsWhip's Top Publishers’ Facebook Pages. Facebook engagements include any action a total number of people can take on a page, such as likes, comments, shares, and link clicks.

United Kingdom sports media site, Bleacher Report Football, takes the top spot with 89,734,710 engagements.

"We looked back at the top content from Q3 2021, as we do every quarter, and saw that even though there has been a dip in content engagement relative to previous quarters, there are publishers that saw tens of millions of engagements on the platform and individual articles and posts that received millions of interactions on their own," the NewsWhip Analytics report reads.

NewsWhip is a social media engagement tracking firm that collates data on how billions of people engage with stories across all social media networks.

"The rest of the top ten were a mix of animal publishers, viral media, and conservative media, with Breitbart in tenth receiving more than 40 million engagements," reads the NewsWhip report.
