Following the announcement of Miss International 2021 being canceled due to COVID-19, Philippine bet Hannah Arnold took to Instagram with a positive message.

“Hello September,” she started her post. “I have to admit that yesterday I was upset and in shock with the news of the 2021 edition of Miss International being canceled,” she added.

She said that after talking to her loved ones, the Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Incorporated (BPCI), and her fellow Miss International 2021 candidates, they realized that “it's in the best interest of the organization to keep us safe at this time.”

She also promised to continue to grow and focus on her advocacy work.

On Aug. 31, the official Miss International Facebook page posted that due to “the health and safety issues and the ongoing global impact of COVID-19,” they had to cancel the event and reschedule it in the fall of 2022.

Despite the cancelation, Hannah Arnold ended the post with optimism.

“Let's remind ourselves that a new month means a new beginning, a new mindset, and a new result,” she stated. “First, let's start the BER months with a little laugh in the rain.”
