Today, on February 22 in 2022, the world is experiencing a once-in-a-lifetime phenomenon: 2/22/22—on a Tuesday, no less.

In numerology, today's eye-catching date is not just a fun pattern, with the sequencing of twos being called Angel Numbers that evoke a special meaning. This prolific date won't be happening again until February 2, 2122

With the captivating day being hard to miss, the question comes to mind: is there anything particularly special about this day?

Reflect on the relationships you have. Appreciate your differences and see how you can collaborate more despite those.

"Two is a significant number in numerology as well as it signifies the union of two people or ideas. This day in particular has a spiritual influence related to awakenings, insights, and revelations," explained astrology experts from the Filipino podcast Tsaastrology.

"The month of February, having started with the New Moon in Aquarius, is focused on partnership and collaboration with others," the team of VP Gregorio, Bern Abraham, Nikki De Guzman, and Inye Hernandez said.

"It also focuses on relationships, whether personal or to society as a whole."

Angelina Cruz, one of the daughters of celebrity Sunshine Cruz, was one among many Twitter users who shared their wishes for the palindrome date.

Is there anything one could do in particular to take advantage of this auspicious date? The Tsaastrology team recommends taking a breather and seeing our relationships on a clearer level.

"Reflect on the relationships you have. Be it your significant other, your family, your friends, colleagues, and even your community. Appreciate your differences and see how you can collaborate more despite those. Take an objective approach instead of an authoritarian one."

True enough, it's no wonder that the day has become a popular choice for forming relationships, with social media going as far as planning first dates and anniversaries to mark the special day. One such example is this 20,000-view TikTok hoping for someone to chat her on 2:22 PM on 2/22/22.

Event planners Bea Salapantan and Chinkie Uy of Metro Eventscape Planners (MEP) also call this day a “hot date", or one of the busiest days for weddings and special events.

"Inquiries were crazy the past months, left and right. Some were even moving towards paying upfront."

"We take extra time in planning influx dates, we delegate and we make sure that the team is not spread too thin during these specific special dates."

Celebrity event stylist Gideon Hermosa seconded the motion: "There's just different energy since the date happens once in a lifetime."

"People saw the significance of the date as it is very distinct, effortless to remember, and happens once in a lifetime. Filipinos are also very superstitious, and they view this date as a lucky date," Gideon added.

"[Our] clients believe that 2.22.22 is a date that might bring them more luck or good vibes," Bea and Chinkie said. "To some couples, this date is an auspicious date, especially in Chinese culture."

"This year, it’s also the year that if written differently will look mirrored, if they write it as dd/mm/yyyy! 22/02/2022 looks like a pretty cool way to start their journey too! It’s a pretty prolific way to celebrate the repeating."

Aside from 2.22.22,  the MEP team shared that other hot dates for this year are February 2 (2/2/22), March 3 (3/3/22), and November 22 (11/22/22).

With the date being a once-in-a-lifetime event, can this day ultimately be considered lucky or unlucky? For Tsaastrology, it all depends on the meaning you put into it, similar to the couples that choose this day to mark their special day.

"Here's our tsaa: We believe that we create our own luck. The entire Universe can be against you but with sheer will and perseverance, you'll make it through. It's a once-in-a-lifetime day, though. Vibe with it and create fun memories that you can look back to with fondness."
