Since the pandemic happened, we found ourselves appreciating everything around us—including plants.

From what may have started as a pasttime, others like these celebrities have become passionate about gardening. From creating a beautiful landscape at home to producing their own food, to using plants as a mental health booster, see how these plantitas are getting their hands dirty while in quarantine.

Aubrey Miles

You may have seen Aubrey Miles' unboxing plant videos on her Instagram and may find her huge (and super pretty) plant babies a bit intimidating. But Miles informs her followers that not all plants are expensive. "Some [people] might think the prices of the plants are ridiculously high these days. Luckily, I started way early so I know where to go now. You can still find nurseries and gardens that [give] good deals."

Jinkee Pacquiao

Jinkee Pacquiao recently trended on social media for owning a massive plant called variegated alocasia elephant ear, which is worth approximately ₱20,000. On her Instagram, Pacquiao also shares photos of her lovely garden in her General Santos City home.

Gretchen Fullido

For Gretchen Fullido, plants have helped her mental health. She shared in a post, "Since I started indoor gardening a few years back, it has helped me with my mental health. Taking care of our plant babies is also a great way for us to be mindful and to focus on the little things." Fullido uses Instagram as an outlet to share stories about her plants, and to sell plants as well for her business called PlantitaGreta.

Pauleen Luna-Sotto

Little by little, new plantmomma Pauline Luna-Sotto's plant collection is growing.

Neri Miranda

One plantita that immediately comes into mind is Neri Miranda. Neri, or Hardineri as she calls herself, is known to have converted her backyard in Cavite into an organic garden, where she gets fresh vegetables, herbs, and fruits.

Cheska Garcia-Kramer

Another plantmom that has learned to grow her own vegetables at home is Cheska Kramer. The mom of 3 shares in a post that harvesting has also become a family activity for them, "Not only is it a fun activity, but they also understand the value of what we grow and why it is healthy for our bodies."

Ina Raymundo

Even as a child, actress Ina Raymundo loved trees—she even made "a heartfelt poem about trees" and used to sing songs about it. Today, "PlantIna" is still very much into plants that she even turned her living room into an indoor garden.

Karel Marquez

Host, actress, and musician Karel Marquez is a serious plantita. When she's not busy with her professional career or cooking for Momma Karel's Kitchen, and managing her cosmetics brand KSpark Cosmetics, Karel looks after her plants at home. She also manages her own plant business called Manila Jungle, and oftenly posts #plantfies.

Mindy Kaling

Oftentimes, Mindy Kaling poses in her garden for her OOTD posts. But on some occasions, she shares photos of her plants, too.

Zooey Deschanel

Zooey Deschanel is an advocate of sustainable eating and local farming. She also has a new initiative called Lettuce Grow with her former husband, Jacob Pechenik, where they promote sustainable farming through their patented product called Farmstand, a vertical gardening device.

Melissa Gohing

What's Melissa Gohings hobby, you may ask? Well, it's gardening! The professional volleyball player shares her passion for plants by sharing tips and trivias about plants in her other Instagram account called All About Plants.
