If the malls’ decors are any indication, there’s definitely no stopping the season of luck and love—yes, not even the dreaded coronavirus—at Robinsons Malls.
At Robinsons Galleria, mall-goers are welcomed by the Galleria Love Bear in a bright red cheongsam with heart accessories. Wearing a white mask, the bear reminds everyone that “we’re stronger together” in the fight against COVID-19.
Over at Robinsons Magnolia, a giant floral ox greets shoppers “Kung Hei Fat Choi” with a sense of relief that the traumatic Year of the Rat is finally over.
To attract more luck, Robinsons Place Manila decked its halls with Chinese lanterns, red roses, a golden prosperity tree and hot air balloon with the Manila Rose Bear at the center.
These attractions also serve as photo booths where you and loved ones can have your souvenir photos taken while observing social distancing, of course!
To usher in the Year of the Ox, Robinsons Malls are giving away prizes from participating stores and restaurants with a minimum purchase.
For a minimum single-receipt purchase worth P2,000 (other stores) or P3,000 (Robinsons Supermarket or Appliances) at Robinsons Galleria, a customer will get a chance to win a special prize from partner stores. Promo runs from Feb. 7 to 14.
From Feb. 8 to 14, get a chance to win a special prize from Robinsons Magnolia’s partner stores with a minimum single-receipt purchase worth P1,500 from any restaurant.
And for a minimum purchase worth P2,000 at any store, enjoy free gift delivery to your significant other from Feb. 11 to Feb. 14 at Robinsons Place Manila through Robinsons Malls’ personal shoppers Robbie and Rosie.
On Feb. 12, lion dancers and drum beaters will perform at Robinsons Magnolia, while the God of Fortune will roam around Robinsons Place Manila to spread luck and yes, fortune to lucky mall-goers.
With the strict health and sanitation protocols in place in all of its malls, mall-goers are encouraged to spread the love—not the virus—by adhering to these rules: no face mask/face shield, no entry; temperature check upon entry, contract tracing, observe social distancing, stepping on foot bath and proper hand sanitation. On top of that, the number of customers allowed inside stores, restrooms, elevators and restaurants will be limited to regulate foot traffic.
Luck & love on the plate
Many cultures around the world find fortune in the foods they eat. And there’s no better time to start dining for luck and love than on Chinese New Year and Valentine’s Day—which are two days apart—in your favorite restaurant.
Asian cultures enjoy oodles of long noodles to represent longevity.
At Robinsons Magnolia, you’ll find restaurants—Ippudo, Ramen Nagi, Cibo, and Mann Hann—that boast delectable noodle dishes that not only fill the tummy, but also to add years to life. Just don’t cut or break them, or you’ll ruin the effect.
