Happy Pride!

June (and every month, really) is the perfect time to put the spotlight on the queer community and its greatness. As allies at PhilSTAR L!fe, we are one with the different brands that are celebrating our beloved queer friends and making them shine bright—just as they should.

Here’s a roundup of how our favorite stores are celebrating the lovely and oh-so-vibrant Pride Month this year.

Owned by a loud and proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community, Sebastian’s Ice Cream is again offering the hotly anticipated Pride Pops this year—“a 6-layer ice pop made representing the six stripes of the rainbow flag.” The refreshing variants, priced at P95 each, include the fruit-based Rainbow Pride Pop (strawberry, orange, mango, green apple, blueberry, and grape), milk-based Bear Pride Pop (chocolate, Nutella caramel, coffee, vanilla, black sesame, and black cocoa), and the Yakult-based Transgender Pride Pop (blueberry, strawberry, and original Yakult).

Need to have some of your body hair waxed? You’d be happy to know that until June 30, MaxWax is offering its Brazilian and underarm services with a brow-shaping treatment for free for its Pride Month promo.

Linya-Linya tapped Mindanao Pride for its Pride Month offering that says “Bahagi ka ng bahaghari” to support their chosen partner organization goal to continue “promoting the rights and welfare of sexual and gender minorities in Mindanao.” For each sale, Linya-Linya will donate a chunk of the proceeds to Mindanao Pride.

Want to feel like a beauty queen? Jojo Bragais—who has been showcasing his brilliance as the shoe designer for the candidates of prestigious competitions like Miss Universe Philippines and Miss World Philippines—is holding a Pride Month sale with pageant shoes as low as P3,500. The promo is available until June 11.

Guhitinta heard the “sangka-RAINBOWan!” The much-loved parlor is treating the queers to irresistible packages, including three tattoos for P1,300 and three piercings for P1,000 for the entire month. There’s no better time than now to get a new ink, piercing, or even both!
