After going viral, Tropical Hut warned customers that some of their items may not be available due to shortages.

On Monday, June 20, the local fast food chain expressed their thanks to customers for their "overwhelming support," adding that "some items are low in stock."

"Thank you for your overwhelming support," it said. "Some items are now low in stock but we will serve your order as soon as our stocks are replenished. Please bear with us."

Tropical Hut went viral recently when market surveillance analyst John Paul Tanyag posted about his visit to its Escolta branch last June 12.

“Tropical Hut in Escolta, ako lang ang customer nila,” Tanyag tweeted.

In his next tweet, he shared about his childhood memories dining in Tropical Hut along Baymart Plaza in Lower Bicutan.

"Really competing sila with the likes of Jollibee and Chowking (hindi pa binili ni Jollibee era)," he said. "On one hand, okay na din na the owners did not sell to their competition (ung big food brand binili ung competing brands niya and it is not as good as before). Iyon nga lang, really surviving ung remaining restos nila. Buti na lang din may food delivery apps," he wrote next.

"They have so much in their menu. And sana in five, ten, twenty years, they will still be there."

His tweet, which now has over 3,632 retweets, 3,631 quote tweets, and 34.9K likes, induced nostalgia among netizens, driving others to share their own memories with Tropical Hut and visit the nearest branch.

Meanwhile, Tropical Hut created a new Twitter account and thanked its customers for their appreciation.

"Maraming salamat, Tropical Hut lovers for the heartwarming words of appreciation," it said. "We value your patronage. See you at Tropical Hut!"

Tropical Hut became popular in the 60s serving burgers.

Popular items on the menu include the Pinoy-style spaghetti, clubhouse sandwich, Rancho Ranchero, and Hawaiian Glee.
