Tyra Banks opens ice cream shop dubbed ‘SMiZE Cream’
Tyra Banks—supermodel, host, and smize queen—just made a brilliant move as an entrepreneur. Just in time for Ice Cream Month, she opened an ice cream shop and put it under the name “SMiZE Cream.”
The multihyphenate has recently launched the brand in Santa Monica, California, looking lovely in an all-black outfit that she perked up with a yellow beret.
With the help of ice cream scientist Maya Warren, PhD, the shop boasts of seven tempting flavors namely “The Best Vanilla I Ever Had,” “Strawberry BirthYay! Cake,” “Brownies, I Love You,” “Purple Cookie Mon-Star & Me,” “Chocolate Barbecue,” “Salted Caramel King,” and “Caramel Cookie Queen.”
Priced at $14 (P700) per pint, it’s made a lot more exciting with a SMiZE Surprise—an unexpected element placed at the bottom of each order.
On top of its striking Instagram promotions, it also has a catchy theme song titled “I Want That SMiZE Cream” by DJ Splitz featuring Tyra and Stori.
It can be recalled that the SMiZE Cream founder started the term “smize” on America’s Next Top Model in 2009. Smiling with your eyes “involves bringing life to your eyes while keeping the rest of the face neutral,” as The Wall Street Journal put it.
Aside from her ice cream venture, Tyra also owns film and TV production company Bankable Productions.
